how mama movement collective began

Hi, I’m Lauren — welcome to Mama Movement Collective ♡.



This community was born from my love of supporting prenatal and postnatal women — a passion that began in 2017 when I started leading Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga Teacher Trainings with my Prenatal Yoga school, @islandprenatalyoga . Since then, I’ve had the honor of certifying teachers around the world and witnessing the transformation that happens when women feel strong, supported, and seen. 🔥✨

After becoming a mom myself, that love only deepened. Yoga and Pilates made a profound difference in my pregnancy, labor, and now postpartum period— mentally, physically and emotionally- and now I want to share that experience with other women. 🫶🏼

Mama Movement Collective is a space for in-person events that blend yoga, Pilates, and wellness — designed specifically for pregnant women and new mamas. It’s all about connection, strength, and the reminder that we don’t have to do this alone.

Our Prenatal classes are thoughtfully designed to support your changing body and growing baby through every stage of pregnancy. We blend yoga and Pilates-based movement to build strength, improve posture, ease common pregnancy discomforts, and help you reconnect with your breath and your body.

Mommy & me classes are a chance for you to get some movement in, start reworking your core and pelvic floor after pregnancy + birth, bond with your baby, meet local moms and have some fun! 🤸🏼‍♀️ Don’t worry if your baby cries, falls asleep, needs to be changed, needs to be fed, etc. All is welcome- we’ve all been there! 😎
